Recovering from Hurricane Hillary

The 70 mile winds and the torrential downpour from Hurricane Hillary really did a number on Camp Mozumdar. The hardest hit was the basement of Mozumdar Temple, which was flooded, and the flooring needed to be torn out and new flooring installed.

That's exactly what we did!

It wasn't an easy process, the total renovation is ongoing and will take 12 months or longer to fully restore, as we're working with limited hours and resources, but the main work was largest completed in June of 2024.

The work included much more than just the floors, we had to redo the windows, walls, and even the ceiling tiles were worse for wear due to the rain.
